At Medisculpt, our expert surgeon will work on restoring the torn or stretched earlobe to its original form. This surgery is painless and conducted under local anesthesia. After the reconstruction, sutures are used to close the wound, followed by the application of a dressing. Our friendly team will offer expert guidance on wound care, ensuring you receive comprehensive aftercare instructions. There are usually small scars and we advise avoiding piercing for 3-6 months and using very light earrings afterwards.
Individuals experiencing a split earlobe qualify as suitable candidates for this procedure. Such splits can occur spontaneously or result from wearing excessively weighty earrings. Nevertheless, spontaneous healing of the split is not possible, and so surgical intervention is needed. Also, this treatment can address piercing issues stemming from inadequate healing or discomfort. Clients dissatisfied with the appearance of multiple ear piercings may seek closure of these perforations through this procedure.
