Ideal for individuals with stretched skin post-pregnancy or significant weight loss, abdominoplasty offers a comprehensive solution to achieve a firmer and more defined abdomen.
Discover how Abdominoplasty at Medisculpt can improve your well-being, help you achieve the look you desire and boost your confidence!
A tummy tuck can dramatically improve the appearance of the abdomen by removing excess skin and fat, resulting in a flatter, more toned midsection. This can help patients achieve the aesthetic goals they’ve been striving for, leading to increased confidence and self-esteem.
By tightening the abdominal muscles during the procedure, a tummy tuck can also improve the contours of the abdomen, creating a smoother and more sculpted appearance. This can make clothing fit more comfortably and allow patients to enjoy a more proportionate silhouette.
Pregnancy and childbirth can often result in stretched abdominal muscles and excess skin, which may not fully return to their pre-pregnancy state through diet and exercise alone. A tummy tuck can help mothers regain their pre-pregnancy figure, restoring confidence in their appearance and helping them feel more like themselves again.
While maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important for sustaining the results of a tummy tuck, the improvements achieved through the surgery can be long-lasting. With proper care and maintenance, patients can enjoy the benefits of their tummy tuck for years to come
There are several types of tummy tuck available at Medisculpt. Your surgeon will advise you on what is most suitable for you as this will depend on how much skin and fat can be removed. You will also be given information of how your specific type of procedure will be performed. Abdominoplasty surgery is carried out under a general anaesthetic and usually takes between two and three hours to complete. Depending on the extent of the surgery, you may be released within a few hours, or you may have to remain hospitalised for one or two days.
Abdominoplasty is a transforming procedure that tightens skin and can also reshape the torso by closing the gap of the abdominal muscles that can commonly separate after giving birth. During the procedure, a horizontal incision is typically made in the pubic region, with the exact placement and incision length depending on the amount of skin to be removed and your specific abdominal structure. The scars are usually well hidden by underwear, taking approximately 2 months for the result to settle completely!
The level of pain experienced during and after abdominoplasty, or a tummy tuck, can vary from person to person but it can be a painful procedure. During the surgery itself, patients are under general anaesthesia and do not feel any pain. However, it’s common to experience some discomfort during the initial recovery period.
The level of pain experienced also depends on factors such as individual pain tolerance, the extent of the surgery, and the surgical technique used. While discomfort is to be expected during the early stages of recovery, it typically diminishes over time as the body heals. At Medisculpt, we are here to ensure you have a comfortable journey with us, with effective results.
