Concerns about the size and shape of the labia are common among women dissatisfied with enlarged or irregular labia. The labia, comprising the minora and majora, contribute to genital aesthetics and comfort. Enlarged labia, known as labial hypertrophy, may arise from various factors such as genetics, childbirth, or ageing. Labiaplasty, or labial reduction surgery, offers a safe and effective solution to permanently address labial size and shape concerns, enhancing both appearance and comfort for improved confidence and well-being.
Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure focused on usually reducing labia minora and clitoral hood. Occasionally, we do fat grafting to give more fullness to wrinkled labia majora. This procedure addresses concerns related to enlarged or asymmetrical labia, which can cause discomfort, self-consciousness, or interfere with physical activities. Labiaplasty aims to enhance comfort, improve aesthetics, and restore confidence by reducing excess tissue, reshaping, or balancing the labial structures.

Labiaplasty can alleviate discomfort caused by enlarged or asymmetrical labia, allowing for improved physical comfort during various activities such as exercise, intercourse, and wearing tight clothing.
By reshaping and reducing the size of the labia, labiaplasty can enhance the aesthetic appearance of the genital area, leading to increased self-confidence and a positive body image.
Labiaplasty procedures are tailored to each individual’s unique anatomy and desired outcome, allowing for personalised results that align with your goals and preferences, ensuring satisfaction and peace of mind post-surgery.
Enlarged or irregular labia can cause emotional distress and impact mental well-being. Labiaplasty offers relief from psychological discomfort by addressing aesthetic concerns and restoring a sense of normalcy and self-assurance.
The surgical technique used for labiaplasty varies depending on the specific goals of the patient and the extent of the surgery needed. However, the general steps may include incisions, where our surgeon will make precise incisions along the labia minora or labia majora, following the predetermined plan discussed with you. When reshaping, excess tissue is removed, and the remaining tissue may be sculpted to achieve the desired shape and size. Then, he incisions are carefully closed with dissolvable stitches. These stitches typically do not need to be removed and will gradually dissolve on their own as the area heals.
At Medisculpt, labiaplasty is a short, general anaesthetic day case, ensuring a positive, comfortable patient experience. The recovery period is around a month, with most ladies completely healed and back to normal activities within a few weeks!
