For many individuals, achieving their desired body shape can significantly boost self-esteem and confidence. Liposuction can help address areas of concern that may be causing self-consciousness.
Unlike some non-invasive fat reduction treatments that offer temporary results, liposuction provides permanent fat removal. Once the fat cells are removed from the body, they typically do not grow back in the treated areas. However, it’s essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle to prevent fat accumulation in untreated areas.
Liposuction can effectively remove stubborn pockets of fat from specific areas of the body, helping to sculpt and contour those areas. It can target areas such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks, arms, and chin, providing a more streamlined and proportionate appearance.
Many individuals view liposuction as a stepping stone for adopting healthier lifestyle habits. Seeing the results of the procedure may inspire them to maintain a nutritious diet and engage in regular exercise to preserve their new contours and overall well-being!
Liposuction surgery also known as ‘fat removal’ surgery is a procedure in which areas of fat are removed in order to reshape particular areas of the body. Sometimes even after losing weight eating healthy and exercising regularly you can be left with stubborn areas of fat that may become impossible to shift. Liposuction can also be combined with other body contouring procedures to boost your results and help you achieve your desired physique.
Your surgeon will make small incisions in the areas being treated. A suction tube attached to a specialised vacuum machine is then inserted; this is moved within the fatty tissue to suck out the fat and fluid. The procedure is performed under either a general anaesthetic or local anaesthetic; it is often performed as a day case and usually takes 1-3 hours to complete!
There is a variety of ways in which liposuction can be done for our clients. The end result is of course similar, a noticeable reduction in fat in the desired areas of the body. Liposuction is an incredible treatment for contouring your shape, also causing skin contraction up to a certain extent. Of course, there are limits to how much fat can be removed safely in one session and sometimes several sessions may be needed to achieve a better result. It is usually combined with other procedures to improve results!
